Interested in developing-world sanitation issues?

Ecological sanitation offers a safe and sustainable alternative to wet-sewage systems, which all too often cause environmental damage, waste of nutrients and contamination of drinking-water sources. Some of the foremost experts in the UK will be coming together in Cambridge for this EWB-Cambridge training course.

Date: Sunday 7th November 2010
Time: 9:30 for 10:00
Duration: Approx. 4 hours
Location: Cambridge University Engineering Department
Cost*: £4

Speakers from the New Directions Foundation, WEDC and others will deliver a course as an introduction to the concept, the technology and the implementation of this important re-think of resource use. This event promises to provoke questions about the sustainability of Western sanitation methods, and present alternative solutions to one of humanity's most pressing current problems.

*Cheques payable to "Engineers Without Borders UK" to Andrew Pickering, Emmanuel College, Cambridge, CB2 3AP
