Water for the World is EWB-UK's flagship workshop and the most commonly run by the Cambridge branch. Students look at the global water situation, investigating how water gets from source to outlet, how it is cleaned and the consequences if it isn't, and how they can work to conserve water. Students then work in teams to build a water filter, interactively using some of the ideas they've learnt about in the presentation. The workshop can be adapted to suit a range of ages but is most commonly aimed at years 5 and 6.
Other workshops include Shelter for the World, Going the Distance and Food for Thought. All aim to teach the students about an aspect of world development in a fun and interactive way. For more information on these modules see the EWB-UK Outreach website - http://www.ewb-outreach.org.uk/index.php
